通过对足少阳胆经经脉分布和《针灸甲乙经》所载阳辅穴位置的分析，认为阳辅穴定位应在腓骨的前缘，与该穴上１寸的光明穴、下１寸的悬钟穴在同一条直线上。通过对《针灸甲乙经》所载阳辅、悬钟位置的分析，认为现行多种医籍将八会穴中的髓会定为悬钟穴是欠妥的，髓会绝骨应是阳辅穴。
