Development and application of T-type thermocouple acupoint thermometer
To address the limitations of existing acupoint temperature measurement
such as susceptibility to environmental interference
inability to perform dynamic monitoring
and invasive operation
a non-invasive acupoint thermometer based on T-type thermocouple has been developed. The instrument consists of multi-channel data collector
miniature thermocouple sensor
temperature-sensitive patch
and Toprie data processing software
offering the advantages including long-term dynamic monitoring of multiple acupoints
stable
rapid and accurate data acquisition
non-invasive portability
and ease of operation. Based on the Seebeck effect
the instrument uses a T-type thermocouple with the diameter ≤1 mm and thermal equilibrium time ≤1 s as the temperature sensing element. It enables long-term dynamic monitoring of multiple acupoints
thereby providing the objective quantitative data for diagnosis of traditional Chinese medicine. With the aid of miniaturization and wireless transmission technologies
the instrument is expected to be extended to clinical application scenarios such as chronic disease management
sports medicine monitoring
and health intervention of"preventive treatment of disease" in traditional Chinese medicine.
