(the frequency of needling depending on the therapeutic effect)
its guiding role in the treatment of sinew-related diseases
and the connotations of "knowledge" and "quantity"
this article proposes that the theoretical connotation of "taking knowledge as quantity" is the guiding principle for the formulation and operation of acupuncture manipulation quantification. In clinical and scientific research settings
with "knowledge" and "quantity" as guiding principle
conducting studies and practices on the quantitative-effect relationships of "acupoint-effect" "technique-effect" "manifestation-effect" and "time-effect" could improve the precision of formulation and operation of acupuncture manipulation quantification. The theoretical connotation of "taking knowledge as quantity" not only guides the formulation of acupuncture manipulation quantification
which could enhance standardization
operability
and reproducibility of acupuncture trea
tment
but also emphasizes the bidirectional experience between doctor and patient
which embodies the characteristics of individualized
precise
and scientific diagnosis and treatment in Traditional Chinese Medicine
thereby helping to improve the clinical efficacy of acupuncture.
